AKC - Hickory trial in on March 30th, 2008

Yet another rainy day (see post on Cali's page from yesterday), still cold, but lots of fun and another 5 point major at stake. Today was Tyler's turn to shine. He started out in 1st place after the preliminary runs, but took 4th place overall. Go Tyler!

About Tyler

Tyler is my special boy. He was born on May, 23rd of 2004 and is sired by Smoke (Ch Chelsea Where There's Smoke) and Emily (Ch Ableaim Dixie Chick SC). He joined our family at just over a year of age after our greyhound Tim passed on. It took him a bit of time to adjust to a new home (including a scary few days when he ran away, luckily he was found with no injuries!). However, one would never guess now that he resisted the move. I can't imagine him living anywhere else. He has become my new running partner, just show him my running shoes and he gets all excited. If he can't be running/lure coursing, his choice would be to lounge outside in the yard and sun ALL day long. His only interruption would be the occasional squirrel or deer that must be chased out of the yard. If I finally get him in the house, he quickly runs to the closest sofa or bed that he can lay on (one must have comfort). He and Cali have become best buddies and are rarely separated. They are actually half brother and sister (their mother is Emily - Ch Ableaim Dixie Chick). Tyler has sired 2 litters thus far and they can be seen at the Ableaim website - link below. Morgan, our third whippet, is one of his daughters out of his second litter.
