About Tyler

Tyler is my special boy. He was born on May, 23rd of 2004 and is sired by Smoke (Ch Chelsea Where There's Smoke) and Emily (Ch Ableaim Dixie Chick SC). He joined our family at just over a year of age after our greyhound Tim passed on. It took him a bit of time to adjust to a new home (including a scary few days when he ran away, luckily he was found with no injuries!). However, one would never guess now that he resisted the move. I can't imagine him living anywhere else. He has become my new running partner, just show him my running shoes and he gets all excited. If he can't be running/lure coursing, his choice would be to lounge outside in the yard and sun ALL day long. His only interruption would be the occasional squirrel or deer that must be chased out of the yard. If I finally get him in the house, he quickly runs to the closest sofa or bed that he can lay on (one must have comfort). He and Cali have become best buddies and are rarely separated. They are actually half brother and sister (their mother is Emily - Ch Ableaim Dixie Chick). Tyler has sired 2 litters thus far and they can be seen at the Ableaim website - link below. Morgan, our third whippet, is one of his daughters out of his second litter.

Tyler's Litters:

Tyler has had four litters:

#1
out of "Hannah" (Group Placing Ch. Ableaim Heart Breaker).
So far this litter has produced 2 champions
1. "Jada" (Multiple Select Award Winning, Ch. Ableaim Just Not Another Pretty Face, SC).
Jada finished in the Top 15 in breed standings for 2008! And in the Top 10 in Breed standings for 2009! Way to go Jada!
2. "Jazzee" - (Ch. Ableaim Jewel Of The Night, SC)

Their sister - "Jitterbug" - (Ableaim Jozeta's Shooting Star, SC) only needs a major to finish her Championship. Both Jazzee and Jitterbug are pointed on the Lure Coursing Field as well and they both show in "Juniors" competition with the Wheeler Family.

out of "Reese" (Ch. Meisterhaus Goldie Hawnd, SC, ROMX).
So far this litter has produced 4 girls that are finished in conformation ring, 3 that are Grand Champions, 2 that are AKC Field Champions (the other 2 girls have their SC title) and 2 that have their Rally Novice titles! What an amazing litter!

Of Note from litter 2:
1. "Morgan" (GCh. DC Ableaim Morgan Le Fay, MC RN CGC) finished her championship with 4 major wins, 2 BOBs, a Group 2 placement and went BOS in Sweeps at the MAWA Specialty. She also earned her AKC Field Championship title and is pointed towards her ASFA Field championship. (Morgan finished the 2009 year ranked it the "Top 15" for AKC Lure Coursing.)
2. "Makenzie" (DC Ableaim Making Memories, MC) was 2nd in her class (6-9 month puppy bitches) at the 2008 Nationals. She finished both her Bench Championship and her AKC Field Championship titles (She finished ranked in the "top 6" for 2009 AKC Lure Coursing).
3. "Marlow" (GCh. Ableaim Meant To Be, SC RN CGC) earned her championship on May 1st of 2010. She was BOB and obtained a 5 pt major during the weekend of the "Southern Specialty" at 14 months old, a second 5pt major at the "North-Central Specialty" at 2 years of age. She also has a 5 point major towards her AKC Field Championship. Marlow has also been busy pursuing other titles and has earned both her RN and CGC titles!
4. "Minni" (GCh. Ableaim Masquerade, SC) earned her championship in March of 2010 - of note, she earned a 5pt major at the MAWA specialty at 2 years of age.

AKC and ASFA Lure Coursing

Tyler has competed in both AKC and ASFA trials. He has earned his Master Courser in AKC and has around 72 (out of 100) points and 1 first placement towards an ASFA field championship.
